Linn Phipps played CresFest 2024

In the UK, Linn has been singing in Gaelic and performing with Gaelic choirs as a solo singer for 45 years. Through the pandemic she created many collaborations and zoomed from the UK to Australia every week/ month with four Australian folk clubs, and is delighted to have this opportunity to visit Australia. She will be contributing to Celtic music themed concerts at Cresfest in Gaelic and/or English and offering workshop(s) to learn a Gaelic song. These may include a cloth-waulking (luadh), piping and/or ceilidh song. Linn has led over sixty learn-a Gaelic-Song workshops and also hosts a monthly zoom Celtic-language ceilidh. Linn has performed online and in person at a wide variety of festivals and clubs from Australia to France, Ireland, Scotland, England, America and others.

CresFest acknowledges the traditional owners of the land on which we live, learn and work, the Dja Dja Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation.
