Join the Great Dividing Trail Association and a local historian and expert in all things to do with the peaks Professor Barry Golding AM on two beautiful walks at CresFest 2026. 

‘The Creswick Tree Walk’ Saturday morning would include Creswick Arboretum / Forestry School and La Gerche Walk back via Botanical Lake. 

‘The Creswick Water Walk’ Sunday morning would include Creswick Creek,  St Georges Lake & Blue Lagoon areas.

Both walks are about 6 km.

Bookings open 2 weeks before each walk on the 27th of March 2026.

Note that these links allow public registration from two weeks before each event, and GDTA will collect $10 per person in cash on the day to cover walker insurance. GDTA will write to everyone who registers a couple of days before the walks, with a detailed reminder of where to meet and updates re weather etc.

Please note that while we list the events from 7am to 9am you are likely to return to Creswick between 9:30 and 10:00am.
