Local historian and expert in all things to do with the peaks Professor Barry Golding AM will again offer walks at CresFest 2025. This year we are going more ambitious, with keen walkers invited to join the team from Great Dividing Trail Association as they make sunrise walks up Mt Beckworth (Saturday 5 April) and Mt Greenock (Sunday 6 April).
Walkers will use their own vehicle to assemble at 6.30am at Glendaruel CFA (for the Saturday Mt Beckworth walk) or at 6:15am outside the National Hotel Clunes for the walk at Mount Greenock Geological Reserve (for the Sunday Mt Greenock walk).

Note that these links allow public registration from two weeks before each event, and GDTA will collect $10 per person in cash on the day to cover walker insurance. GDTA will write to everyone who registers a couple of days before the walks, with a detailed reminder of where to meet and updates re weather etc.
Please note that while we list the events from 7am to 9am you are likely to return to Creswick between 9:30 and 10:00am.
