John Flanagan Band played CresFest 2024

John Flanagan has been a favourite on the festival scene for over a decade, playing major festivals across the country and captivating audiences with songs that capture the full range of emotion. Sepia-toned stories on the widescreen of now; toe-tapping singalongs to mend your broken heart. Flanagan’s music pulses and shimmers with childlike honesty and sage-like wisdom. With his rollicking band he brings to life the soulful folk-rock sound of the 70s, taking inspiration from the likes of Jackson Browne & CSNY.  His latest album, Manhood Method Actor, traverses various themes of love, conflict, parenthood, masculinity and coming of age. The album hit #3 on the AIR ‘100% Independent’ charts putting him alongside The Waifs and Midnight Oil and also made top 10 on the AIR ‘Independent label’ charts and #3 on the AMRAP metro radio charts. “He’s hitting with the groove like a Balboa punching bag! You can definitely hear that retro soulful twang.” (Henry Wagons – Double J)
